Father's Corner

Dads, this part of the website is dedicated to each of you. We've pulled together resources from Michigan and across the nation.

"We recognize Michigan's fathers that are active and positive role models in the lives of their children; we join with the Michigan Department of Human Services to encourage citizens throughout Michigan to learn more about fatherhood issues and to show support for the many individuals and organizations that provide advocacy efforts, resources and services to promote the positive involvement of fathers;"

-Proclamation February 2012, Responsible Fatherhood Month, Governor Rick Snyder

DADS & Moms of Michigan
DMM of Michigan is a non-profit affiliate of the American Coalition for Fathers and Children (ACFC). Our main goal is to restore equal rights for all parties affected by divorce, the break-up of the family, or children born to unmarried parents. With the combined effort of our organizations, and the American people, we can make a difference in the emotional and psychological well being of our children.

Michigan Fatherhood Coalition
The Michigan Fatherhood Coalition (MFC) is committed to improving the well-being of children by increasing the number of children growing up with nurturing and committed fathers. MFC assists practitioners working in the human services field to more effectively work with fathers to help them become better parents with thriving children.

Child well-being requires the presence of nurturing and caring parents who understand the value of good parenting and how this impacts healthy child development. MFC believes that both parents are important to healthy child development. We work with agencies and organizations to create more father friendly environments and intervention strategies that better support fathers.
